The GSTN has enabled the Aadhaar Authentication facility on the GST portal. Taxpayers are expected to complete the authentication process at the earliest to help the Government verify the identity of Taxpayers. When a Taxpayer logs into his/her/their GST account on the GST portal, the following message is displayed:
As of now, the Taxpayers have an option to skip the authentication process by clicking on ‘REMIND ME LATER’. In Notification No. 03/2021-Central Tax, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs has notified the class of persons exempted from the Aadhaar Authentication Process.
