- Monitoring Savings and Growth: Employees can track the growth of their EPF savings over time through the passbook. It provides a detailed breakdown of contributions, interest earned, and withdrawals, allowing employees to assess the progress of their retirement savings.
- Financial Planning: The passbook acts as a valuable tool for financial planning. Employees can analyze their EPF contributions and forecast the potential corpus upon retirement. This information aids in making informed decisions about retirement planning and other financial goals.
- Facilitates Loan and Withdrawal Processes: When employees need to avail loans against their EPF savings or make partial withdrawals for specific purposes like buying a house or medical emergencies, the passbook serves as a vital reference for documentation and verification.
