- When this report (error file) is opened with the GSTR-9C offline utility tool, users can see the columns in which the errors have occurred as it will be highlighted in red. Rectify these errors and try to regenerate the JSON.
Points To Remember
- Ensure that you are using the GSTR-9C JSON file offline utility 6 while generating the JSON to avoid errors.
- The supported date format is - DD/MM/YYYY.
- In case there are no qualifications, the certifying ‘Chartered Accountant’ (CA) has to enter ‘Nil’ in the part-B of the GSTR-9C form.
- When you cannot see the Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) displayed (after it is attached), enter https://127.0.0.1:1585/ manually in the browser's address bar, and then select ‘Proceed to safety’.
- If you are unable to sign the GSTR-9C using emsigner, you can close all other emsigners and download them from the GST portal. After downloading it, click on ‘Run as administrator’.
- If you cannot upload the balance sheet and the profit and loss statement, all you need to do is, change the firewall settings. Some systems recognize words like ‘profit and loss’, ‘balance sheet’, ‘account’, etc., as sensitive information. This makes the firewall block the uploading of these files. An open network will help to solve this problem.
- You need to make sure that the details of Turnover, Taxable turnover, Total amount paid and ITC claimed which are reported in GSTR-9C match the components disclosed in GSTR-9.
