Running SAP and getting stuck at manually reconciling GST, chasing e-invoices, or watching ITC claims that get held up? You are not alone in this. That’s exactly why platforms like Masters India, SuperEXP, Vayana GSP, Cygnet, One, GSTHero, Whitebooks, Sovos India, EY DigiGST, and Webtel exist. Your SAP ERP integration should do more than tick a compliance box; it should take the manual work off your team’s plate. We at Masters India help you:
We at Masters India do it by integrating our connector directly inside your SAP setup, ECC or S4HANA, so it talks to the GST portal without anyone having to use separate software. Our connector protects your ITC and keeps you inside the filing window. |
I was catching up with my former colleague; he now works as an accountant at a different company. He told me that his work can be hectic sometimes. The current SAP ERP he uses does help him in a way, but if there were more features or automation, that would make it a little bit better. Better in terms of automating ITC claims and capturing data into a structured format using a tool like Invoice OCR, APIs for custom tools and all that.
This isn’t just something my friend is dealing with on his own, it is tied directly to how GST compliance actually works inside SAP today. As per the GSTN’s advisory on AATO, businesses with an aggregate annual turnover above ₹10 crore now have to report e-invoices to the IRP within 30 days of the invoice date, or the portal simply won’t issue an IRN.
Finance teams having ERP systems like SAP have been stuck doing the same double manual entry my friend was talking about. If he misses that window, the invoice does not get an IRN. Which means your customer loses their ITC, and that’s not good.
So what I am saying is that SAP is not the problem. It is that SAP was never really built to talk to the GST portal on its own, and that is exactly the gap a SAP ERP integration platform is supposed to close.
I’ve mentioned some of the best SAP ERP integration platforms below so that you can take a look at which platform would be best suited for your business.
| Still reconciling GST by hand inside SAP? Masters India syncs your GST data with SAP automatically. Request A Free Callback |
Before you finalise your choice on a SAP ERP integration platform, here are the factors that you can keep in mind, because some are tied to how SAP sync actually works, others are tied to recent GST compliance changes that make certain features non-negotiable.
As we know, since April 2026, the GST portal has run a Zero Mismatch Policy under the Invoice Management System. If, in case, the ITC you claim in GSTR-3B seems to be higher than what shows up in your GSTR-2B, the portal straight up hard blocks your return filing, period.
So make sure, whichever platform you pick, enquire if they monitor your IMS dashboard and flags mismatch before you hit submit.
A lot of platforms usually say “SAP integrated", which seems reassuring, that is until you cross the new 30-day IRN reporting windows and realise your data was not properly synced. Ask specifically whether IRN generation happens the moment a billing document is posted in SAP or whether it waits for a scheduled run.
If your business or another business has multiple registrations, it is important to ensure that the software you choose can handle multiple GSTIN verifications in bulk.
Since this is your financial data flowing between SAP and a third-party server, it’s best to look for both ISO 27001 certification and a SOC 2 Type II attestation.

Masters India is your go-to solution if you’re running SAP and want your GST compliance built directly into that same SAP workflow.
Our platform integrates directly with SAP to handle GST reconciliation, e-invoicing, invoice OCR, and bulk GSTIN verification, so your finance team stays inside SAP instead of working on separate different tools.
We are a GST Suvidha Provider, aka GSP, which means we are a recognised entity that falls under the Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN). We were established in 1999, and we are headquartered in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
Our connector sits inside your SAP software, be it ECC or S4HANA, and talks directly to the GST portal for you. Once the setup is done, GST returns, e-invoices, and reconciliation data move automatically between SAP and the government portal, so nobody on your team is manually exporting data or logging into a separate system to stay compliant.
These are the features that we provide that your business can benefit from.
Our GST software comes with real-time, two-way sync with well-known ERP systems like your SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft Dynamics. So with this, you no longer have to worry about working out your reconciliation data on your spreadsheet; rather, you can focus on automating it with your SAP ERP.
With our E-invoice software, you can generate your IRNs, digitally signed invoices, and QR codes from within SAP. This means nobody on your team has to retype invoice data into a separate portal.
The Invoice OCR software lets you read your PDFs and images, such as your invoices, receipts, purchase orders, e-invoice QR codes, Bill of Entry and such, and then exports the extracted data right to your SAP. This helps cut down your manual entry for your accounts teams.
With the help of our GST verification API, you get to check vendors' and customers' GST numbers in bulk, directly from SAP.
Our compliance software is for enterprise owner, CFO, financial leader who wants to implement our software in an ERP like SAP that covers and automates things like GST, e-invoicing and e-way bill compliance handled automatically, without a separate portal login or a spreadsheet in the loop.

Vayana GSP
Vayana Network was founded by Ram Iyer in 2017, which is a Pune-based company that is considered one of the best GST software for enterprises. Vayana started as a supply chain finance platform, and it is still their core business; later came GST compliance. With Vayana, you get the option to either plug-and-play or do it yourself.
They do not provide any public pricing; however, you can either contact them or fill out a form, and their team can get back to you with a quote based on your business needs.
Cygnet. One has been in the game since October 2000; it was founded by Niraj Huteesing, and it has a registered office and corporate office in Ahmedabad. They do have regional offices in various locations like Mumbai, Pune and Vadodara.
Their core GST product handles the full return cycle from GSTR-1 all the way to GSTR-9, alongside e-invoicing and e-way bill generation. Their platform does 6-way reconciliation across general ledger, sales, purchases, and GST returns, plus an AI-driven invoice matching module. They’ve got a notice management module where they can pull notices from your GSTN portal to help you draft responses. Pretty handy if I say so myself.
They have not provided any pricing lists, but you can get started by filling out their forms based on what you are looking for, and their team will get in touch with you for more information.
Fun fact about GSTHero. GSTHero was launched in 2017. But it is actually owned by a parent company called Perennial Systems, which was actually founded in 2006. It is owned by Nilesh Bafna and Paresh Bafna.
They provide features like return filing, e-invoicing, and e-way bill generation on a single dashboard. With their Invoice Management System, it can reconcile GSTR-2B against your purchase records automatically and give you the option to bulk accept, reject or hold thousands of invoices in one single click. You also get to keep IRN data indefinitely; it's handy since the government portal only holds it for 48 hours.
If you are integrating this software with ERP like SAP, you can integrate either by RPA (Robotic Process Automation) or direct ABAP.
No pricing mentioned for them, but you can either contact them directly or you can get a free trial by filling out their form by mentioning what all products you are interested in.

Sovos is actually an American company that was founded way back in 1979. It was initially called "Taxware", which is based in Massachusetts, long before GST existed. Later in 2015, the company was renamed to what we know now as Sovos, which is currently led by Kevin Akeroyd. Sovos currently operates in different countries, and India happens to be one of them.
Sovos runs GST filing across every major return type, GSTR-1, 3B, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 9C, and reconciles purchase data across books, GSTR-2A, 2B, IMS, and Table 8A of GSTR-9, all with AI-driven matching and support for multiple GSTINs. Their e-invoicing layer generates RNS and embeds QR codes in real time, and it flags errors before they even reach the government portal.
Sovos has been an official SAP partner for two decades; they hold certifications for R/3, ECC, and S4Hana.
You can book a call with them by filling out your details in the form to get a quote.

Right now you've gone through all 9 SAP ERP integration platforms and seen what each one can actually do for you.
Masters India stands out for enterprises running SAP because the GST connector lives inside SAP itself; GSTR filing, e-invoicing, invoice OCR, and bulk GSTIN checks all work as one integrated workflow instead of a separate compliance tool bolted onto the side.
The reason being, we’ve got everything you are looking for. Want to make your GST returns automate your work for faster calculation and error-free reconciliation? We do that. We cover all types of essential GSTR, OCR, and bulk GSTIN verification checks. No matter what type of ERP system you use to manage your finances. Our software can be integrated seamlessly into your ERP.
Are you and your team ready to see how this fits into your SAP setup? You can contact us by filling out the form and letting us know what you’re looking for; our SAP ERP integration expert will get in touch and share a demo of the Masters India SAP ERP platform.
This basically means that the SAP system talks directly to India’s e-invoicing and GST portals, so invoices, e-way bills, and returns move automatically instead of someone re-entering the same data twice. Because without it, you’d have to do manual double entry, which is where mistakes happen during busy filing periods.
The whole point of having compliance software is to integrate into your existing SAP and work, automating in the background. Basically, your team will be working on the SAP system this time, minus the manual compliance steps. This gets your work done faster.
That's because they are made for different purposes. If we look at Masters India and Webtel, they are compliant first. Vayana is trade finance with GSP attached. Sovos is basically a tax engine at a global level. You get the idea. So choose based on what you are looking for.
None of these platforms publish a flat price, and that can be a nuisance when you are trying to budget early. It depends on how many APIs or modules you actually use. Masters India, for example, works the pricing based on your specific feature needs rather than a fixed rate.
Since April 2026, the GST portal blocks your GSTR-3B filing outright if your claimed ITC does not match your GSTR-2B. This makes real-time reconciliation a must-have, not a nice-to-have. Platforms like Masters India build this kind of two-way sync directly into their GST software.
Any reputable vendor should be encrypting the connection and only pulling what is needed to complete the transaction. Still, ask directly about their certifications. Masters India, for instance, is built specifically around handling financial data since that is the entire nature of what it processes.
It varies quite a bit between vendors and how customised your SAP setup already is. Proper GST connectors, like those from Masters India, will go live fast since they plug straight into your existing ERP setup instead of asking you to have a new app just for it.
The invoice simply does not get an IRN, which under Rule 48(5) makes it legally invalid. Your buyer cannot claim ITC on it either. This is exactly the kind of deadline pressure that pushed a lot of SAP users toward automated tools like Masters India.
Start with seeing where your process feels limited. If GST reconciliation, e-invoicing, or ITC claims on SAP are the pain point, Masters India is built for this, without asking you to adopt a whole new stack around it. Our software can seamlessly integrate it with your SAP ERP, end-to-end.
