Ans. You need to follow the below-mentioned steps in order to log in using Provisional ID or GSTIN:
Step 1: Open the GST Portal.
Step 2: Click on the login button.
Step 3: On the login page you need to choose the First-time login option.
Step 4: You will be then redirected to a new login page, where you just need to enter the Provisional ID/ GSTIN/ UIN received on your e-mail address in the Provisional ID / GSTIN/ UIN field.
Step 5: Once you have entered the above ID, you need to type in the password received on the registered mail ID.
Step 6: Enter the captcha code and click on the login button.
Step 7: After clicking on the login button, you will be redirected to a new credential page. On this page, you need to enter the user-name and password that you want to use from next time onwards.
Step 8: Enter your password again in the re-confirm password field.
Step 9: Enter the submit button.
Step 10: Now you can use the above-created credentials at the time of GST Portal login.
Ans. You need to follow the below-mentioned steps in order to log in using credentials:
Step 1: Open the GST Portal.
Step 2: Click on the login button.
Step 3: Enter the user-name created by you in the user-name field and password created by you in the password field.
Step 4: Post entering the above credential, enter the given captcha code.
Step 5: Click on the LOGIN button.
Ans. In order to retrieve your user-name, you need to follow the below-mentioned steps:
Step 1: Open the GST Portal.
Step 2: Click on the login button.
Step 3: After clicking on the login button choose the Forgot Username option.
Step 4: You will be then redirected to a new login page, where you just need to enter the Provisional ID/ GSTIN/ UIN received on your e-mail address in the Provisional ID / GSTIN/ UIN field.
Step 5: Enter the captcha code given on the screen.
Step 6: Post entering the captcha code, click on the Generate OTP button.
Step 7: Enter the OTP received on the OTP verification page.
Step 8: Post entering the OTP, click on the SUBMIT button.
Step 9: Once click on the submit button, your user-name will be sent on your registered e-mail ID. Check your mail ID to retrieve your user-name.
Ans. To retrieve your password, you need to perform the following steps:
In order to retrieve your user-name, you need to follow the below-mentioned steps:
Step 1: Open the GST Portal.
Step 2: Click on the login button.
Step 3: After clicking on the login button choose the Forgot Password option.
Step 4: You will be redirected to a new page wherein you need to enter the user-name.
Step 5. In the Type, the characters you see in the image below field, type the captcha text shown on the screen.
Step 6: Enter the captcha code given on the screen.
Step 7: Post entering the captcha code, click on the Generate OTP button.
Step 8: Enter the OTP received on the OTP verification page.
Step 9: Post entering the OTP, click on the CONTINUE button.
Step 10: You will be redirected to a new Credentials page wherein you need to enter the new password and confirm the same by re-entering it.
Step 11: Once you have entered the new password, click on the SUBMIT button
Step 12: You can now use the new password to log into the GST Portal.
Ans. You need to follow the below-mentioned steps to change your password:
Note: You need to change the password mandatorily after 120 days.
Step 1: Open the GST Portal.
Step 2: Click on the login button.
Step 3: Log in to the GST portal using the valid credentials and captcha code.
Step 4: Once you have successfully logged into the GST Portal, click on the Change Password link.
Step 5: You will be redirected to a new page after clicking on the above link. On this page, you need to enter your old password and the new password you need to create.
It shall be noted that the new password shall not be the same as the previous 5 passwords.
Step 6: Re-enter the new password that you want to create in the re-confirm password field.
Step 7: Post entering the password, click on the CHANGE PASSWORD button.
Step 8: You can now use this new password to login to the GST Portal.
